Aarogya Setu was earlier available only for Android and iOS Smartphones but Aarogya Setu App is now available for JioPhone users. You can now Download Aarogya Setu App in Jio Phone from JioStore App which is an App Store to Download any App in Jio Phone which runs on KaiOS.
The Aarogya Setu App requires GPS and Bluetooth permissions to run in any Smartphone. JioPhones also have these functions. Aarogya Setu’s IVRS has recently launched so that feature phones users can also use Aarogya Setu Features without having smartphones. They have to dial a toll-free number 1921 and give a missed call. They will get a call back from the health officials and they have to give some answers. then, they will get a message with their health status and will be told of the measures to be taken.
How to Use Aarogya Setu App in Jio phone
- Download and Install Aarogya Setu App from JioStore App Store.
- Open the App, Allow all permissions.
- Select Your Language.
- Enter your phone number, you will get an OTP, enter it then click OK.
- Choose your gender
- Enter your full name, age, and profession.
- Confirm your foreign travel history in the last 30 days.
- Select if you are ready or not to volunteer in times of need.
What is Aarogya Setu App?
On April 2, the Aarogya Setu App was launched for Indian Smartphone Users, which is available in 11 languages. The Aarogya Setu App is developed by the National Informatics Centre under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. This App became one of the most downloaded apps globally and has crossed more than 100 Million Downloads.
This is launched to keep track of other Aarogya Setu users that a person came in contact with and alert him or her if any of the contacts tests positive for COVID-19 or Coronavirus. For this, it uses the Smartphone’s Bluetooth and GPS. The app will keep a record of all other AarogyaSetu users that it detected nearby using Bluetooth or GPS that the device had been at 15-minute intervals.
